iVolunteer...to volunteer more in 2012?
It’s that time of year again. Time to renew the old gym pass, vow to call your mother 3 times a week and make a vision board of your soon-to-be-body (for us guys, it’s a combo of Leo’s eyes, Hugh’s smile and Gosling’s abs -we don’t care if it was Photoshop). Anyway, the point is, New Year’s Day is a chance to renew our commitments to our health, family, and issues that we care about – and what better way to do that than to vow to volunteer this year for a cause you genuinely care about?Well, if you want our advice (you’re reading this, right, so we assume so!) we’ve found that all volunteer opportunities are not created equal. That’s right, depending on what type of situation you’re in, you’ll be more likely to stick to your New Year’s resolution to volunteer more if you start by volunteering with a project best suited for you – regardless of the cause you care about. So, take a moment to figure out which kind of volunteer you are and then choose a project that is designed for someone like you:
